Experience the voices, stories, and culture of modern Italy through literature and conversation. This course explores twentieth-century Italian literature using Racconti del Novecento as the primary text.

Read engaging short stories by influential Italian authors while discovering the historical and cultural contexts that shaped their work. Authentic materials, including videos and supplementary readings, enrich each topic and provide broader linguistic and cultural perspectives.

Each reading becomes an opportunity to build your Italian through guided discussions, vocabulary expansion, and focused language practice. If you have not taken classes at ICC before, please register for our PLACEMENT TEST. An instructor will assess your Italian proficiency and recommend the course that best matches your level.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

• Before the first class: Full tuition refund, minus a $20 registration fee.
• Before the second week: Students may withdraw and receive a refund, minus a $55 administrative fee.
• After the second week: No refunds will be issued.

Please note: Regular attendance is strongly encouraged. If a student misses class for any reason, they will not be eligible for a refund or an individual make-up session.
