We offer a professional Italian language proficiency evaluation for a $25 charge. The amount will be deducted from tuition when you enroll in our classes.

You will be contacted within 72 hours to schedule an informal conversation via Zoom to further assess your oral skills. We will then discuss the results, and determine which class best fits your language needs and personal goals.
*The test is for new ICC students with some knowledge of Italian who are registering for our classes for the first time. Students registering for Beginner 1 do not need to take this test.

NOW OFFERING an ACCELERATED Kids' Course!
This class meets for 90-minutes IN-PERSON on Saturdays from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. This faster-paced track is designed for students (Age 11 and older) who are highly motivated and capable of completing practice assignments at home. It's also ideal for students who already speak another romance language and want to strengthen their understanding of Italian spelling and grammar. Depending on the age of your student, there is the possibility to advance to an AP Prep course or another course for High School academic credit for Fall 2025. Please speak to the instructor towards the end of the semester.
Our Accelerated course is a 12-week (18 hrs) comprehensive program that focuses on teaching the fundamentals of Italian grammar while building students' speaking, listening comprehension, reading, and writing skills. The course offers a well-rounded learning experience by successfully weaving together culture and language, ensuring that students learn the language and gain a deeper understanding of Italian culture.
After each lesson, families will receive an email summary of the pages and activities covered in class. This will help you keep track of your child's progress and guide them in completing the practice and review assignments for the following week.

The ICC is pleased to announce that we will be offering the PLIDA Exams for levels A2 and B1 on: Wednesday, February 19, 2025
Important Details: Exams are administered IN-PERSON ONLY at ICC: 250 Third Avenue N., Suite 625 Minneapolis, MN 55401
The written portions of the exam will take place on Wednesday morning, while the oral interview will be scheduled on either Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday afternoon. Details will be sent to you after registration.
