UPCOMING SESSION:

PLIDA B1 - Wednesday, September 10, 2025

The Italian Cultural Center of Minneapolis-St. Paul (ICC) is an official exam center for the PLIDA Certification (Progetto Lingua Italiana Dante Alighieri). We are one of the few institutes in North America authorized to offer the PLIDA certification exam, and the only center in Minnesota.

The PLIDA certificate is an official Diploma issued by the Società Dante Alighieri (SDA) under an agreement with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the University of Rome La Sapienza. It is recognized by the Italian Ministry of Labor and Social Policies and the Italian Ministry of University and Research as an attestation of proficiency in Italian as a Foreign Language on a 6-level scale (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

PLIDA certificate exam sessions are held each year according to the calendar set by the PLIDA office in Rome, and will take place in person at the ICC based on the rules, regulations and dates established by the Società Dante Alighieri PLIDA headquarters.
