This 6-hour (3 session) Advanced Topics mi i-course is for students who are at the Upper Intermediate Level (B2) or above and wish to expand their vocabulary and oral competency as well as deepen their knowledge of and familiarity with Italian literature and history. Students will read short stories in lingua originale by a famous author from a specific region of Italy - in this class we will focus on the 20th century Sicilian author Leonardo Sciascia. Students will engage in guided conversations as they examine each work and explore its literary and socio-historical context.
