JOIN US for the ICC Youth School's celebration of Carnevale di Venezia, a cherished Italian tradition! Discover the history and meaning of the world-famous Carnevale, explore its elaborate masks, and learn how they are an integral part of Venetian culture. Watch video clips of the glamorous Ballo del Doge (Doge's Masquerade Ball) and Volo dell’Angelo (Angel's Flight) to immerse yourself in a truly magical atmosphere.
Taste typical Carnevale treats from across Italy—known by different names depending on the region: chiacchiere, cenci, frappe, crostoli, bugie, and more—delightful strips of fried dough dusted with powdered sugar. Kids will also have fun decorating masks while learning an easy recipe for these treats.
The event is free, but we ask that you register to help us plan.
