Bar Chef Masterclass Mixology Italian Style IN-PERSON EDUCATION Friday December 2, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Creating balanced and delicious cocktails, with a focus on Italian aperitivo, is a simple equation once you understand the fundamentals of what vs why. This Masterclass is a presentation of our personal cocktail manifesto, the history and journey of cocktails, and the inner workings of a good drink. After this class, anyone and everyone will have the conceptual tools to start creating and thinking critically about the cocktail, and what goes into making a balanced beverage. In addition to learning to make cocktails like a professional in a classroom style setting, you will taste them and enjoy stuzzichini (appetizers) in the new beautiful ICC space in Minneapolis. The Bar Chef Masterclass education will be led by Marco Zappia. Marco Zappia is a hospitality professional and a nefarious drink slinger. After a lovely childhood in Minneapolis, he headed west coast to Stanford and eventually the patchouli-scented bosom of Berkeley. After realizing his brand of existential nihilism didn’t jive with most Californians, he traveled east to the wine and cheese parties of Bard. He returned to Minneapolis to become a dishwasher and promptly fell in love with the restaurant industry. He's consulted on a masochistic amount of restaurant openings, trained hundreds of bartenders, and designed award winning programs & cocktails across the country.
