If so, then please join us for an evening of tasting wines made from indigenous grapes from one of the most ancient wine regions in the world - Sicily! Blessed with perfect weather conditions for grape growing, wine has been an integral part of Sicily for almost 6,000 years. From the clean, fresh and crisp Sicilian whites that pair perfectly with seafood and shellfish, to the smokey and highly aromatic reds of Nerello Mascalese, Cappuccio and Frappato. One can almost taste the volcanic ash from the soils of Mt. Etna where they are grown! In addition to 5 wines rarely found outside of Sicily, you will enjoy appetizers and live music performed by Vittorio and The Bridges with the beautiful Minneapolis summer skyline in the background. The wine tasting will be led by David Johnson, certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers and all-around Italian wine enthusiast.
