Made in Italy: Parmigiano Reggiano Meet the Serra Family Saturday, October 3, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm CDT via Zoom
The ancient Genoese families of Serra and Balduino appeared in the province of Parma on 25 June 1879, when Count Girolamo Cantelli and Cavalier Giuseppe Balduino signed the deed of sale of the Gainago estate before the notary.
Today the Azienda Agricola Valserena produces about 14 wheels a day and follows the entire production chain: in its 1000 acres of land it cultivates, with five-year rotation, the excellent forages that nourish the Brown Cow from which the milk for the "Solo di Bruna" Parmigiano Reggiano derives.
Today it is Gian Domenico Serra with his sons Giovanni, Antonietta and Niccolò who is directly involved in the management of the company, also supported by the collaboration of a staff specialized in the related areas of expertise.
