He graduated from “Il Bisonte”, a prestigious cultural institution that has been dedicated to the study and research of digital and traditional graphic arts since 1959. Carrying on his education in traditional techniques of printmaking, Pietro studied at the “Akademie der bildenden Kunste Wien”, in Vienna, Austria, and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art at the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence in 2019.
In 2015 he co-founded Cartavetra, an artistic laboratory and contemporary art gallery: Pietro’s work has been exhibited in several group and solo exhibitions. Currently he is working as a Concept Artist and Art Director for the videogame Selves, in partnership with independent game company White Hawks Entertainment.
Founded in 2015 in the beating heart of Florence, Cartavetra has been designed as a polyfunctional art center. As an art gallery, Cartavetra exhibits artists working with a wide range of media, including painting, sculpture, engraving, drawing and performance. The traditional printmaking tools at Cartavetra are often used for artistic residencies and workshops turning this gallery into a vibrant, multifunctional space, that is open to artists and visitors who want to challenge themselves and their understanding of contemporary art. Founders of Cartavetra strive to create a strong powerful connection between artists and audience, with the ultimate goal of turning the gallery into a lively cultural environment.
