Scrumptious Sangiovese
The Sangiovese grape is Italy’s most famous grape variety. It is also the most planted grape in Italy representing nearly 10% of all vineyard plantings in Italy.
Join ICC Board member and Italian wine aficionado, Dominic Sposeto, for a wine tasting of the most notable Sangiovese wines. The featured wines will include Chianti, Vino Nobile di Montelpulciano, Morellino di Scansano and Brunello di Montalcino (Dominic’s particular favorite), and perhaps a “Super Tuscan”. Delectable appetizers will be provided by ICC Board member and caterer extraordinaire, Giada Nucera.
The tasting will be Thursday evening, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM, September 21 at the Mid-City Kitchen, St. Paul (near Raymond and University Ave in the Midway area). Cost of the event is $50 for ICC members and $60 for non-members. A small lot and off-street parking are available.
