Italy’s regional richness and diversity continues to be showcased in our new series “Taste the Regions”. Each time, native experts introduce us to a different Italian region presenting its history, geography and culinary traditions in an informal and fun format.
For the second appointment of our series, come and discover the island of Sardinia, the wild and wonderful gem in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea.
Italian native Federica Bottega will introduce us to the beautiful island where she herself spent many summers. She will discuss the unique history and culture as well as the typical food of Sardinia; she will focus on the Northeastern part of the island and let us explore its wilder side by virtually going to hidden beaches, with photos and videos that will almost let you feel the sun warming your skin. Your taste will be tempted by samples of traditional Sardinian cheese, wine, liquors and sweets.
The event will be held at the ICC on Thursday, Apr. 16th 6:30 – 8:30 PM.
Tickets are $30 for ICC members and $40 for non-members. Please contact Peggy at info@theitalianculturalcenter.org with your questions.

Spend an evening comparing and evaluating wines from two great wine regions of Italy, Tuscany and Piedmont. These regions are known for their classic red wines, Barolo and Brunello and the famous grapes from which they are made; Nebbiolo and Sangiovese. Tuscany and Piedmont also produce some very affordable, interesting and complex wines that can be found at local retail stores.
Join ICC board member, Dominic Sposeto, to taste and discuss these wonderful wines and, at the end of evening, vote for your favorite. Tasty appetizers and wine-complementing morsels prepared by board member Giada Nucera of Epicurean Garden Catering will be served.
The event will be held at the beautiful Valcucine Showroom located in the International Market Square at 275 Market Street, Minneapolis where ample free parking is available. The event is scheduled for Thursday, January 15th, from 6 until 9 p.m. Cost is $50 for ICC members; $60 for non-members.
