Individuals from all over the world who are passionate about good food and wine make a pilgrimage to Turin, Italy every two years to be a part of the world’s largest food and wine fair, Salone del Gusto, and the world meeting of food communities, Terra Madre to address topics such as climate change, population growth, food waste, land grabbing and more.

Please join local author, Diane Wilson as she shares her experience at the October 2014 Terra Madre food conference in one of the world's most exciting food countries: Italy! Ms. Wilson will talk about her experience as a Midwest delegate for Slow Food International, highlights of workshops and a description of the incredible Salone del Gusto experience.
Italian coffee and cookies will be served.

Wine Tasting Event: Barolo v. Brunello – Thursday, January 15

Spend an evening comparing and evaluating wines from two great wine regions of Italy, Tuscany and Piedmont.  These regions are known for their classic red wines, Barolo and Brunello and the famous grapes from which they are made; Nebbiolo and Sangiovese.  Tuscany and Piedmont also produce some very affordable, interesting and complex wines that can be found at local retail stores.

Join ICC board member, Dominic Sposeto, to taste and discuss these wonderful wines and, at the end of evening, vote for your favorite.  Tasty appetizers and wine-complementing morsels prepared by board member Giada Nucera of Epicurean Garden Catering will be served.

The event will be held at the beautiful Valcucine Showroom located in the International Market Square at 275 Market Street, Minneapolis where ample free parking is available.  The event is scheduled for Thursday, January 15th, from 6 until 9 p.m.  Cost is $50 for ICC members; $60 for non-members.

Register now: space is limited and this class will fill quickly.

Please register and remit payment here.  Contact Peggy  at info@theitalianculturalcenter.org  for additional information.
