Brunello Cucinelli: A humanist enterprise in the world of industry In conjunction with the Minneapolis Institute of Arts exhibit Italian Style: Fashion Since 1945 we offer an event highlighting the history, philosophy and the work of Brunello Cucinelli.
Brunello Cucinelli is an Italian company in the fashion industry that produces luxury products. Known for its cashmere products, Brunello Cucinelli is now one of the most exclusive casual-chic fashion brands in the world. While Brunello Cucinelli, the man is famous for creating the most sumptuous of cashmeres, he has accomplished much more that. Since 1985, the designer has reinvested a portion of his profits to restore Solomeo, a rural 12th-century town in the central region of Umbria into a neoclassical haven where Cucinelli and nearly half of his 1,170 employees reside.
Anna Bonavita will share Cucinelli’s story and her fascination with Solomeo, the medieval town, now a harmonious and progressive headquarters of an unusual fashion house which restores human dignity while creating beauty.
Italian coffee and cookies will be served.
