Nine Quintessential Wines of Italy - A Wine Seminar at
Sorella
Wine & Spirits
Please join us for this fun and informative event as Darrin Minehan, Wine Buyer for
Sorella,
guides us through a diverse tour of nine of Italy's most important (and delicious) wines. Darrin spent six years, during the 1990s, as European Import Director for two Minnesota wine distributors, travelling to wine regions throughout Italy; He has decades of experience sharing his passion for Italian wines with U.S. consumers. We will taste and discuss two white wines, a Verdicchio Classico Castelli di Jesi from Le Marche and an Arneis from Piedmont. There will also be seven reds, including a Chianti Classico and a "Super Tuscan" from Tuscany, a Barolo from Piedmont, an Amarone della Valpolicella from the Veneto, a Primitivo from Puglia, a Nero d'Avola from Sicily and an Aglianico from Campania.
This event was designed as an affordable introduction to the diverse wine styles of Italy, showcasing some of the better values in each category.
The event will take place at Sorella Wine and Spirits, located at 1010 South Washington Avenue, Minneapolis, on Saturday, October 18, from 2 until 4 p.m. Cost for the event will be $25 for ICC members and $35 for non-members. Please register here for what is certain to be a very popular event! Space is limited.
All events must be cancelled 72 hours in advance to receive a refund, less an administrative fee.
