Piero Romagnoli was born in Ancona, Italy, in 1956. He studied at Classical Lyceum in Ancona, and graduated in 1974. He later received his PhD in Electronics Engineering at Polytechnical University of Ancona, graduated in 1981. From 1981 to 2018 he worked for IBM Corporation where he covered several roles as Manufacturing Manager, Materials Lab Manager and Microelectronics Sales Manager. During his experience at IBM he covered several assignments in the United States (NC, VT). For the past 30 years Piero has been collecting medieval coins, and regularly holds conferences organized by cultural societies. He teaches Numismatics at Unitre University of Ancona.

She holds a graduate degree in Civil Engineering from Marche Polytechnic University of Ancona and a specialization in Marketing from SDA Bocconi in Milan. Lorella had a career that spanned for more than 25 years in the corporate environment both in Europe and in the USA. She is currently working as an independent consultant focusing on issues related to bridge preservation. In Minneapolis Lorella collaborated for more than 20 years with the Walker Art Center and the Weisman Museum of Art as a tour guide.
