Join us for an exclusive evening with artist Mark Balma as we celebrate his remarkable facsimile of Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece. This event isn't merely a viewing—it's an engaging exploration of Renaissance brilliance.

Mark Balma's Mona Lisa Facsimile: A Glimpse into Leonardo's World

Mark Balma has meticulously replicated the Mona Lisa using Leonardo's techniques and materials, including rare pigments and traditional gesso.

This facsimile reveals the vivid colors and intricate details obscured under the Mona Lisa's aged varnish, showcasing the painting as Leonardo originally intended.

Crafted on a single poplar plank, just like the original, and framed in a hand-carved Florentine-style frame, this facsimile is a testament to Renaissance artistry.

Balma's dedication to authenticity extends to every brushstroke, applied in layers as thin as 5 microns, mirroring Leonardo's mastery.

An Evening with Leonardo da Vinci and His Times

Step into the past and indulge in a Renaissance-style aperitivo as you immerse yourself in an era of artistic elegance. The event features a presentation by Mark Balma, shedding light on Leonardo's techniques and legacy. Experience the Mona Lisa's vibrant colors and meticulous details through Balma's dedicated recreation.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to connect deeply with the history and beauty of the Renaissance era.

The event will take place at the Traffic Zone Building, 250 Third Ave N.,

    6th floor, Minneapolis, MN 55401
