Conversation Courses


 

The Conversation Class will give students an opportunity to put into practice the many grammatical skills and vocabulary they have learned. The class will be focused on refinement of conversational ability, and every week a different topic will be developed and discussed in group.  The conversation classes meets once per week for ten weeks.

    Image result for macerata italy photoJoin us for an enhanced open house on Wednesday, September ninth, 2015, from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m., in suite 502 of the Hennepin Center for the Arts building. 

    From 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. guests can learn about the Italian language classes the ICC will offer during fall term of 2015.  You can view class materials, meet our native instructors, and register for a fall term class.

    Plan to stay beyond the open house, from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m., and meet Alfredo Oliveira, the ICC's first scholarship winner.  Alfredo, and Professor Christine Imbra, of St. Cloud State University, recently visited Macerata, Italy.  Their travelogue presentation will focus on their experience in Macerata.  To learn more about Alfredo, and his adventure, please refer to his blog.

    This is a FREE event, and a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the ICC and it's classes, meet Alfredo and Christine, and expand your knowledge of Italy!

    • Lake Calhoun West Lake Street kiosk behind Tin Fish

    Now that winter is giving way to milder temps, let’s shed our heavy jackets and go for a Passeggiata around Lake Calhoun. From May to October - on the 1st Saturday of every month -NOTE:  There will be no Passeggiata in September. Italian speakers of all proficiencies can speak or practice their Italian while walking around the lake.

    The group will gather at the West Lake Street kiosk behind Tin Fish at 11 AM and walk clockwise. The group will return to Tin Fish at approx. 12 noon for lunch. Leading the walk may include ICC instructors, board members and/or volunteers.

    This is a great opportunity to meet fellow Italian speakers while enjoying one of Minneapolis greatest outdoor locations.

    The event is free and open to anyone.
