Program of Academic Exchange is a non-profit educational organization that promotes and arranges international student exchange to foster the positive development of the world's young people and to support international peace, friendship and cross-cultural understanding. They currently have more than 20 Italian students that would like to come to Minnesota for the upcoming school year and are in need of host families for them. Though the students will be here for the academic year, temporary families who would host for up to 4-6 weeks would be accepted.

The students will arrive in the US in late August. The students come with their own insurance and spending money. They are good students who speak English and are eager to learn about the American way of life. There are both boys and girls between the ages of 15 and 18. Host families only need to provide a bed, meals and a supportive home environment. Host families do not need to have children in the home to be eligible. Families with children, single parents, young couples and retired couples are all welcome to apply. The families do not have to reside in Minnesota, the students can be placed almost anywhere in the country.

If you are interested, please email us and we will send you the students' profiles. We hope to find some open hearted families that can help make those students' dreams come true.
