John Andreozzi grew up just outside of Lackawanna, New York.  His parents and grandparents, four of whom were born in Italy, settled in Lackawanna's First Ward in the 1920s.

John has authored the book, "The Italians of Lackawanna, New York: Steelworkers, Merchants and Gardeners", and now lives in Shoreview, Minnesota, with his wife Linda, the book's designer/publisher.  He wrote this book to better understand his own roots, to tell the story of the Italian experience in Lackawanna, to help dispel negative stereotypes about Italian Americans, and he has been working to gain a more accurate picture of the Italian American experience in Minnesota and beyond.
