Join us as we learn about Italy’s bounty – frutta, verdure, formaggi e salumi – available at Whole Foods. Discover the names, the origins and products’ usage in today’s Italian cuisine in a fun and relaxed environment.
On Sunday, October 4th, 2:00 – 3:30 PM, Italian native Mirella Heimpel will lead a small group through the store aisles and finish the lesson at the eat-in section of the store for more conversation and a few samples.
This is intended to be a very practical language class aimed at beginners, travelers, cooking enthusiasts and intermediate students alike. This class will offer the opportunity to learn the language of an Italian market experience, learning about its colors, smells, textures, flavors and ways of using and cooking the products.
Attending this class is easy: Whole Foods offers free parking. The ramp can be accessed on 1st Avenue N, between Washington Avenue N and 2nd Street N.
