Days and Clouds; 2007, Silvio Soldini
Silvio Soldini, who might remember from his intimate story “Bread and tulips”, could not be more timely in today’s economic environment as he vividly portrays how the absence of financial security can change lives. An elegantly acted art house film about a middle class couple's struggle to stay together after the husband loses his job. At the heart of the film is the question of how unemployment affects relationships, sense of self and ultimately peace of mind.
