Join us in meeting local author and cooking instructor, Carmela Tursi Hobbins!  Carmela developed a love of cooking as a child, in Des Moines, Iowa, watching her Italian grandmother prepare the specialities her family enjoyed daily.  That love became a passion as Carmela turned her gifts, as a chef and hostess, into a catering business and teaching enterprise.

In her first cookbook, Carmela's Cucina,she shares the recipes she inherited from her family.  In Carmela's new book, Celebrations with Carmela's Cucina, Carmela creates menus for important holidays throughout the year.  Included are menu suggestions, as well as the family reminiscences that accompany them.  Carmela will offer a short presentation, and will be available to sign copies of her book.  Wine advice will be presented by Carmela's husband, Bob Hobbins.

The event is FREE and will be held in suite 502 of the new Cowles Center 528 Hennepin Avenue, on Wednesday, November 30th.  Please register online, and join us from 6 until 8 p.m.  Light refreshments will be served.
